looking for translation work

So, I've had enough with that one agency, and I'll end the contract as soon as they've paid the last bill.

Which means that I should find some new agencies to work with. If you happen to be a translator and really like working with an agency, please could you tip me with its name?

I do technical, industrial, medical and corporate translations (no marketing, no post-edits), and I translate to Finnish.

Thank you!

I'm also willing to translate literature, though I haven't so much experience on that yet. So if you happen to know a publisher that is looking for a Finnish translator, tip me with that too!

goodbye crappy agency!

...Aaand they've paid my last bill. So I immediately sent the notice of ending my contract with them.

Good riddance!

@Stoori I mean... what's the bad agency? Because I don't want to suggest Translated.net when that's the one you're saying goodbye to :D

@Juju Oh no, it's not that one. I worked for Translated.net a while 10 years ago but not since :D.

This one's a Finnish agency with a name starting with N (obviously I'm not comfortable at spelling their whole name publicly at this point).

@Stoori Oh, then that's fine. I've been working with Translated for 1.5 years and I'm loving it.

@Juju Yea I guess they're not too bad. It was just that I was starting my career back then and the easiest way to hike my pay was to find new agencies that paid more, and Translated.net got dropped because I found better-paying agencies (yeah, it was a wild time, being able to *hike* your pay...). So no hard feelings for their processes in general.

Nowadays my spouse works for them in the same languages that I do, so I'm not going to nip on their work.

goodbye crappy agency!

@Stoori Yes! Pox on all their houses.
