@polygoat Ih, existe, mesmo! ciberduvidas.iscte-iul.pt/cons

Isto é novidade para mim. E para falar a verdade, não entendi 100% a última resposta: seria o caso da forma plural deixar claro que havia duas ou mais pessoas que poderiam ter saído, invés de uma ou mais? Por exemplo:

“Pelo menos um deles estava lá, e nenhum saiu.”
“Dois ou mais deles estavam lá, e nenhuns saíram.”

@polygoat Esse plural de “nenhum” não me é familiar. Você tem um exemplo dela sendo empregada?

I just learned about named lets in Scheme, and everything is better now.

personal, good tidings (or بشرة خير, if you will!)

@Stoori It’s so good to hear that! Good luck on this new work!

Looks like spam accounts of the form @ Alice [number] @ mastodon.online are now abound.

If any new user like that is following you, report and block them. I'll block any such reported accounts on instance lever when reported.

So, ball’s in your court, web server developers.

Are you going to add a one-line header, by default, to your server responses to protect people from being tracked by Google or not?

Adding it to Site.js took 5 minutes or work:

Do you care?

@david Oof. Je ne comprends pas cette décision, ma ville utilise YouTube pour transmettre ses vidéos.

Heureusement, je ne nécessiterais Facebook que pour regarder leurs parties exclusives de la Copa Libertadores, et on a Futemax pour ça.

@Stoori I love the Netherlands!

That cloudy weather really took a toll on me, but I loved to safely ride my bicycle anywhere (and without sweating during most of the year).

@joyfuluselessness The bread we eat here is this one: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marraq

I buy them fresh whenever I want them (bakeries here work from 6h to 22h), but my mother stores them in the freezer and thaws them in the oven when she wants to eat them.

@fisunov Just to be clear, I believe these translations I mentioned are made by humans, not machines (which might invalidate my previous toot): I’ve never seen gross mistakes like using bat, the animal, when referring to a baseball bat, for instance. You might end up with something like that on your subtitles.

@fisunov I see Portuguese subtitles and manga translations that seem to do just that: take an English version of the text and translating it, sometimes literally (you see word by word translations of English idioms).

The result is acceptable, I’d say, if we’re talking about people that are doing it on their free time (it’s not okay when Netflix does it — which they do).

Besides Google translate, you could try deepl.com

@Stoori I've been thinking on using Session for a while. But I, too, would need to keep WhatsApp; in my case, for trivial things like scheduling doctor appointments and hiring other services, because people don't pick up calls as they used to.

I'll try to convince my friends and family to change as well when the time comes. We'll see how it goes.

Bonne nouvelle du dimanche : un " Dictionnaire des francophones " est né !
La France reconnaît enfin qu'elle n'a pas le monopole de la langue française dans le monde ! Plus qu'à mettre au courant les profs de expatrié-e-s... 😉
Sus au !

@Gemma Hi, nice to meet you!

I’ve just begun an online course (lessons only) of , the Brazilian sign language (which I’ve been postponing for a while).

I’ve also translated a song from Portuguese to Italian, which made me learn more about the singer’s story and the things he references in the song than about Italian itself. I did like doing it, though.
